Project meetings
1. E-safety in education, Turkey, Izmir
- Dates: 4-6 December 2019
- Participants: 2 members of each partner part of the implementation/ management teams
- Short description: Members of the management team of the 8 partners met each other and created a team that will implement the project. All the planned activities were revised together with the project management plan. The participants analysed the activities and their objectives and agreed on the quality assurance activities. A main focus of the meeting was e-safety and how important it is to inform pupils about the dangers of the internet.
- The main workflow of the meeting was:
Presentations of each of the Partners’ Organizations/Schools: Each Partner shared brief information about the school/organization they represent so that all partners get a first picture of the partnership.Performance by the kindergarten students, 1st, 2nd and 4th grade students.
A first visit in the school classrooms and signing of the two-party contracts between the coordinator and each of the partners.
The Turkish Partner presented information about E-safety: She mentioned the necessity
of teaching our students how to use the internet in a way that does not threat their privacy
and suggested ways of shielding our students against the dangers of the web.
Presentation of the most important points of the project, mentioning both financial and organizational details. Things to be considered as well as next steps were also discussed.
Then the Romanian Partner informed all the partners about the tales and how they are going to implement them in their classrooms in order to facilitate cooperation between kindergarten and primary school teachers and students.
The Turkish Partner present information about E-safety: She mentioned the necessity of teaching our students how to use the internet in a way that does not threat their privacy and suggested ways of shielding our students against the dangers of the web.
Presentations of E-twinning, School Education Gateway and Erasmus+ Project Results Platform: More particularly she stressed the importance of using all these applications during the project for achieving a high evaluation of our project.
Good transition practices implemented in each partner-country: Each partner shared techniques and ideas that are most widely used in order to prepare their students to smoothly move from kindergartens to primary schools. They all mentioned the most important points of their educational systems.
2. Evaluation and next steps, Vienna, Austria
- Dates: March 2021
- Participants: members of the management team of each partner
- Short description: It is planned to analyse and evaluate the first half of the project. The next deadlines, budget and management issues will be revised. It will be conducted a summary of the mobility activities and present the results up to the moment.
3. Looking into the future, Igoumenitsa, Greece
- Dates: June 2022
- Participants: members of the management team of each partner
- Short description: During the final meeting the project will be evaluated for both students and teachers, the results will be presented, final reports will be written and the next steps to disseminate our project will be agreed. There will be a project exhibition. A final review of the tangible results and products will be made.

Learning and Teaching and Training
1. Transition Activities in SCHOLE PROJETO
10-14 February 2020, Portugal
This activity enabled the educators to apply a new learning approach that may ease the transition of children between preschool to primary school. The Learning Activity led participants to be able to:
– explore the project-based learning approach and the inter connection with the transition between the two levels of education
– understand the full potential of applying a transversal learning approach in the learning environment
– understand the full potential of the pedagogy of play in children’s education
Participants explored the learning environment of SCHOLE understanding the role of each space and the daily routines of the school. Additionally, participants participated in activities to know more about each other, share expectations and needs regarding this LTT. They will be presented and explored the learning approach used transversely in the school (from preschool to primary school level).
Participants attended in playful activities used in SCHOLE as part of the curricular learning activities. Participants explored the potential of playful activities to better understand the needs of children at cognitive, social and emotional levels.
2. Transition in Bulgarian Education
May 2020, Bulgaria – Postponed due to Covid19. We will update you soon on the development of this activity.
Participants will take part in activities with children in groups preparing for school. They will discover the principles of Bulgarian Education system.
Participants will also attend joint activities with Primary school “ Nikola Furnadjiev” from Bulgaria. Another activity will be the Training for parents: “Continuity between kindergarten and school and the role of the family” where the participants will be involved.
During the last day, participants will attend a workshop on the role of the social partners in the preparation of children for school with the participation of lecturers from the University of Plovdiv, teachers, social partners.
3. Vertical Education in the Italian Schools
October 2020, Italy
In the beginning of this LTT, the teachers will get acquainted with the school life: information about the environment; building spaces used for educational activities; curriculum organisation ; opportunities for establishing future collaboration, level of autonomy of school in Italy as concerns administration, organization and didactic. They will attend a workshop at school about vertical educational: continuity as implementation of a coherent educational model among the various educational / school institutions of the territory. Next days will continue with -visits of the school and observation of the daily activities in the classes. Participants will be involved in teacher training, lectures and workshops on different methods and ideas on how to work with SEN students. Getting to know the idea of collaborative teaching.
Workshop: pet therapy, dogs are used as a way to provide comfort and support for students at school. Research has shown therapy dogs can reduce stress and provide a sense of connection in difficult situations.
Workshop: Music and Circle Time. Music activates every subsystem in the brain, including areas that regulate emotion and motivation. Setting aside specific time to sit together and make music in a circle allows children to bond with each other and gives them a sense of belonging to a group.
4. Spanish education al system in nurseries and primary school
May 2021, Spain
Spanish educational system in nurseries and primary school will be introduced to participants together with classification of centers, national laws and regional laws. Participants will have the chance to meet with heads of the Ministry of Education of Andalusia and ask questions.
The kindergarten in prisons for Spanish women is another topic approached during a visit to the nursery of the Albolote women’s prison. Participants will meet with the women and the people in charge of the nursery and will be involved in activities with them.
Participants will explore the municipal system of nurseries and social services dedicated to children and go to visit to a municipal nursery. The next topic to be approached is the problem of migrant children in Spain. Children arriving from North Africa, health problems and adaptation. A visit to the center of Cáritas, meeting with those responsible that serve these children is planned.
5. Report and final discussions about plurilingual fairy tales book
November 2021, Romania
During this meeting, information about the work that has been done in the project so far will be shared. Partners on the translation of their tales and the conformity of content with language and they will present the realised for integrating fairy tales in teaching.
Participants will draft a methodology and units of study on grades and will plan the next steps of the project.

6. Transition in Greek schools
April 2022, Greece
Teachers in both kindergartens and primary schools will present the practices they implement in their schools in order to help students adapt to the new environment. There will be visits to a number of schools of the area. There will be discussions among the hosting schools and parents and the partner colleagues. There will also be a conference during which practices from all participant countries will be presented. First afternoon a visit to the Mayor of the city is planned in order to disseminate our project and inform him about the aims of the project. Next day a conference will be held. In the conference presentations and lectures of transition practices and activities used in each of the partner countries will be introduced to the audience. Teachers of our Directorate, the neighbouring Directorates as well as of the Regional Directorate of Education, local authorities, education professionals and parents will be invited to attend the conference. After the discussions on the topic of student transition will take place and possible questions by the audience will be answered.
A visit to kindergartens in Paramythia is planned. Visiting teachers will attend a common practice of familiarization of kindergarten pupils and primary school pupils. Primary school pupils will visit the kindergarten and be taught a fairy tale all together. Students will get closer by participating in the narration of the fairy-tale, act roles and sing a song. The activity will be filmed. There will also be a meeting with parents’ association. In the evening a visit to the Archaeological Museum of Igoumenitsa will give the chance to our guests to get to know the history and civilization of the area.
A visit to a primary school in Paramythia. Observation of the transition practices used in the primary school. Kindergarten pupils visit the primary school they are going to attend next year. They will be guided around the school to become familiar with the building and the facilities. They will attend the lesson of Environmental Studies in common with first graders as well as the Physical Education lesson in a psychomotor game to help kindergarten pupils that there are teachers of various expertise and various subjects in primary schools.
Inclusive learning with special needs students. A visit to special needs primary school in Igoumenitsa will be organised. A common class between the special needs students and general education students. Students will present the environmental education project they run in common. Discussion with the teachers about how the pupils become adjusted to primary school. In the evening a visit to the ancient theater in Gitana.
